Pros
Great handling
Powerful engine
Classy cabin
Cons
R8 Performance
Every Audi R8 is fitted with a V10 engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The standard version of this V10 is 562 horsepower, while the V10 Performance is 602 horsepower.
You've probably guessed this before, but the R8 is fast.
Gas mileage
R8 mileage is not the greatest. The R8 gets 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
Handling
Supercars are meant to be competitive, and the R8 fits the bill. R8 offers precise steering and excellent agility. Robust brakes provide good stopping power, and the standard Quattro all-wheel-drive system of the R8 provides excellent road grip in all driving situations.
R8 interior
This luxury sports car has two doors. The seats have a good shape for the role they represent, and they remain comfortable even on long journeys. The available power-adjustable seats make it easier to find the perfect seating position. The racing shell seats in the V10 Performance models are nice when you're on the road, but they're less suitable for daily driving.
The R8 does not have LATCH connectors for the installation of child safety seats.
There's little, if anything, to think about the reliability of the R8 cabin. It features attractive stylish and premium materials.
R8 Cargo Space
R8 cargo space is not the biggest. It has 8 cubic feet of space and its hard fitting more than a few shopping bags.
R8 Infotainment system
Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control and MMI infotainment with Bang & Olufsen audio system, Audi Virtual Cockpit, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, two USB ports, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot, handwriting recognition, and voice control.
The Digital Cockpit is stealing the show. This driver display makes it easy to see things like performance data and navigation instructions. You can even use it instead of the infotainment screen. The MMI system responds quickly to inputs and is mostly intuitive, making it easy to use.
